Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in an acute care environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Care is delivered using evidence-based nursing practices and a relationship-based care model to promote, maintain, and restore patient health. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Perform ongoing physical and psychosocial assessments and formulate nursing diagnoses. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on patient condition and treatment response . Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care . Ensure safe use of medications, equipment, and clinical procedures . Delegate and supervise tasks for nursing support staff according to scope of practice. Advocate for patients and ensure ethical, culturally competent, and age-appropriate care . Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals . Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and follow hospital policies. Support patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives . Required Skills Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills Ability to provide safe patient handoffs and effective care coordination Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Education & Experience Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience required Licensure & Certifications Active California RN License – Required BLS (AHA) – Required ACLS – Required NIHSS Certification – Required About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
