Travel ER RN Job Details Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract (Travel Registered Nurse) Location: On-site in Falmouth, MA (02540) — Cape Cod; Massachusetts nursing job Start Date: May 11, 2026 End Date: August 8, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 hours (guaranteed) Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays Job Requirements / Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) RN experience At least 1 year of ER travel nurse experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (required) Successful passage of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams Demonstrated skills in IV administration and IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring Experience with computerized nursing informatics / electronic medical records (EMR) TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred Completion of an approved de-escalation certification course preferred Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Emergency Department Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Emergency Department (ED) Triage and manage acute medical and trauma patients, demonstrating strong ER clinical judgment Administer and monitor patient responses to medications and treatments Perform IV starts, manage ventilator care, and monitor telemetry as needed Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel Maintain accurate, timely patient records and document assessments, interventions, and discharge plans Summarize assessment data and initiate plans of care, communicating pertinent information to allied health providers Demonstrate proficiency as charge nurse and in computerized nursing informatics Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education Participate in unit staff meetings, mandatory programs, and ongoing professional development Adhere to safety protocols, blood/body fluid policies, and maintain patient confidentiality Consistently provide service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity Gain valuable ER travel nurse experience on Cape Cod in a supportive emergency department Guaranteed 36 hours/week and a structured 13-week travel contract Opportunities for professional development and hands-on emergency nursing practice Enjoy the quality of life that Falmouth, MA offers—beaches, coastal living, and New England charm Apply now: If you are an experienced ER RN or travel nurse seeking a 13-week Emergency Department assignment in Falmouth, MA (02540), we want to hear from you.
