Job Details Location: Watertown, NY 13601 (Northern New York, Thousand Islands/Adirondacks) Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Job) Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: July 8, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay (Travel Nurse): $2,060 – $2,170 Number of Openings: 1 Required Qualifications Active New York State RN license (required) BLS and ACLS certifications (required) PALS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer Travel nursing experience required Experience with MEDITECH EMR (required) Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Must meet the 75-mile radius rule (primary residence at least 75 miles from facility) IV start, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months Critical care, charge nurse, and leadership experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work in high-acuity ED settings Emergency Department (ED) Responsibilities Provide rapid assessment, triage, and emergency nursing care to patients of all ages as an ED/ER nurse Identify, prioritize, and intervene in life-threatening and high-acuity situations Administer medications, start and manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy per ED protocols Document patient care accurately and efficiently using MEDITECH EMR Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care Maintain patient and staff safety, including safe patient handling and lift use Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving under stress; may assume charge nurse duties as needed Why Watertown, NY?
