Job Details Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) — Columbus healthcare jobs, Ohio nursing jobs Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026) Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site (CVOR / Operating Room) Hours per Week: 36 Shift Schedule: 2x12-hour shifts (10:30am–11:00pm), 2x8-hour shifts (2:30pm–11:00pm) per week Call Requirement: 30–40 hours of call per 4-week period; evening shift includes weekend call (~24 hours per 4 weeks) Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Unit: CVOR / Operating Room (7 beds/rooms) — cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, transplant Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,480–$2,610 Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years overall OR experience, including at least 2 years caring for cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgical patients At least 1 year of dedicated CVOR experience (Cardiovascular OR nurse preferred) At least 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission) — Ohio nursing license or compact RN Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required EPIC charting system experience required (EPIC experience preferred) Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Key Responsibilities Provide expert perioperative and cardiovascular care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgeries in the CVOR Assist with major procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, AAA repairs, TAVR, EVAR, and other advanced surgical interventions Support sterile technique, specimen labeling, universal protocol procedures, and stringent infection control practices Adhere to laser and radiation safety protocols and advanced operating room safety standards Participate in scheduled call coverage, including weekend and evening shifts Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiology, perfusion, ICU) to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using the EPIC charting system Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
