Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Sunbelt Staffing is seeking experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurses for a high-acuity travel contract opportunity in Rochester, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialized Adult Cardiac OR performing complex and advanced cardiac procedures alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team. Assignment Details: • 13-week travel contract • 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) • Circulator role only • 5 openings available Unit Overview: The Adult Cardiac OR treats a wide range of complex cardiac cases across all age groups. This highly specialized team performs advanced surgical procedures including: • CABG procedures • Structural heart cases (Bentall procedures) • Minimally invasive cardiac procedures • Aortic valve replacements • Heart failure interventions including VADs, ECMO, Artificial Hearts, and Impella devices • Heart transplants (experience preferred) This unit operates in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment requiring strong critical thinking skills and advanced OR experience. Requirements: • Active New York RN License (required) • Minimum 2 years of RN experience • Strong Operating Room experience required • Level I Trauma OR experience preferred • Must be able to independently circulate complex cardiac cases Certifications Required: • BLS — American Heart Association • ACLS — American Heart Association If you are a skilled CVOR RN who thrives in high-acuity surgical settings and is confident managing advanced cardiac procedures, this is a strong opportunity to grow your experience at a leading facility.
