Job Details Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing) Location: Omaha, Nebraska (Omaha, NE 68114) — Nebraska nursing jobs, Omaha healthcare Setting: Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level 4 NICU) Start Date: May 25, 2026 End Date: August 24, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shifts per Week: 3 (with one extra shift every 3 weeks during high census) Shift Duration: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30) — Night shift NICU RN Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN / neonatal nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN experience preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS certification required Experience with Epic electronic medical record (Epic charting) preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Must be willing to float to PICU, CCU, or med-surg units as needed Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to neonates and infants (23 weeks gestation up to 1 year) with complex medical and surgical needs Manage a variety of neonatal diagnoses including PPHN, NEC, BPD, tracheostomy/g-button evaluations, cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, hydrocephalus, and more Perform advanced NICU skills such as central line care, ventilator management, phototherapy, developmental care, and other neonatal procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and specialty providers Educate and support families throughout the patient’s stay and provide compassionate neonatal care Float to other units with similar patient populations as needed (PICU, CCU, med-surg) Join our neonatal care team in Omaha — a supportive environment for NICU RNs and neonatal nurses seeking travel nurse assignments.
