Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work night shifts in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit • Provide care to NICU patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in care planning and delivery • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience levels • Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Prior travel experience required • Local candidates will not be accepted • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE • Experience with ventilator management required • Navy scrubs required • Must maintain shift accountability for safe patient care delivery • Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care to critically ill neonates Facility: This medical center operates as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing specialized neonatal intensive care services.
