Details Located in the NICU of a 595-bed comprehensive hospital, within a Women's Medical Center housing a Level III NICU 32-bed unit caring for neonatal patients Patient ratio of 3:1 Charting via Cerner EMR 13-week contract Night shift: 3x12, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within scope of practice is required, including to facilities within a 25-mile radius if needed Requirements Active AL or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA accepted only; American Red Cross certifications are not accepted) Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited hospital that holds Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care Navy blue scrubs required Only natural nails are permitted — gel, acrylic, or embellished nails are not allowed Birmingham, AL offers proximity to attractions such as Vulcan Park & Museum, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Birmingham Zoo, and the Homewood/SoHo District American Traveler Job ID P-680596.
