Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Tele Neuro Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks • Holiday shifts worked into permanent holiday rotation based on unit coverage • Must have Level 1 trauma experience • 2 years of nursing experience required, neuro experience preferred • Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS • Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed) • Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation • Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail) • Must maintain 1:4 patient ratio • Float to cardiac tele, tele overflow in ICU, and medical-surgical units • Must be able to interpret EKGs and work with central monitoring • Handle trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery patients, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, and brain tumor patients • Titrate medications including Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem • Work in fast-paced, high turnover unit with average length of stay 4-5 days • Provide bedside report • Must have own vehicle • Dress code: steel gray scrubs, natural hair color, no facial piercings, men must be clean-shaven for fit testing • 2-day floor-specific orientation • Use Cerner EMR system with WOWs (workstations on wheels) Facility: This major healthcare system operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care services.
