A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Rotating weekends required • Float required as needed across all Cone Health facilities • Patient ratio of 5:1 for all shifts • 24 hours of orientation provided • Must have minimum 2 years of experience (first time travelers accepted) • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH • Neuro PCU experience required • Experience with CVA, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, Yale Swallowing screen required • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass mandatory EKG exam (2 attempts allowed) • Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Skills include central line care, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips management, tracheostomy care, and dysrhythmia interpretation • Care for adult patients with stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions • Staff scheduled for 6-week periods via self-assisted scheduling through Optilink • 50-mile local radius restriction applies Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department with a primary focus on caring for medical neurological patients. The facility features a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department that provides monitoring surveillance for patients.
