A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Rotating weekends required • Float to other units and Cone Health facilities as needed • Minimum 2 years of experience required • First time travelers accepted • Patient ratio of 5:1 for all shifts • 24 hours of orientation provided • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH • Neuroscience PCU experience required • Experience with CVA, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, Yale Swallowing screen • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed) • Care for patients with stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions • Work with specialized equipment and procedures including central line care, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Must complete compliance by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date Facility: This healthcare facility features a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department with a primary focus on caring for medical neurological patients. The unit operates with a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department that provides continuous surveillance for patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Staff scheduling is managed through a self-assisted system for 6-week periods, and the facility maintains high standards for patient care and safety.
