Travel MedSurg Oncology RN - $2,400 per week

TheraEX Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Oncology / Minimum 2 years recent Med-Surg experience required; Oncology experience preferred (ONS certification a plus but not required; travelers will not administer chemotherapy) / Active NE (or compact) RN license required at submission / Required Certification: BLS (AHA) / 21-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit specializing in post-operative cancer interventions (prostatectomy, mastectomy, tumor resections) with general medical/surgical population / Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:5 / RNs required to titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN; central telemetry monitoring with RN responsible to identify and respond to changes / Charge nurse and house supervisor available; CNA support varies (approx. 1:15, sitter-dependent) / Schedule: 12-hour nights, 36 guaranteed hours/week; every 3rd weekend; rotating holidays; no call requirement / Floating rare—only to other Med/Surg units if needed / Orientation: 12 hours plus unit-specific orientation; must pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation (Friday testing) / EMR: EPIC / Dress code: Navy scrubs; artificial nails prohibited / Radius rule: 50 miles (driver’s license required at submission); cannot be current FT/PT/PRN employee within CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity / AUTO OFFER / Cancellation policy: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment / Pay package negotiable TheraEX Staffing Services Job ID 1048428.
