A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed • Maintain 6:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends • Float required when census is down across all Cone Health facilities • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • First time travelers accepted • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • BLS certification required • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed) • 48-hour orientation period • Care for observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes patients, and surgical patients • Work with 30-bed unit serving adults and geriatrics with daily census of 16 • Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, wound care, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP management, and colostomy care • Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST on Wednesday prior to start date • 50-mile local radius restriction applies Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides advanced patient care across multiple campuses.
