Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • 19-bed medical surgical telemetry unit specializing in cardiac patients • Day/evening patient ratios: 5 to 1 (stretch to 6-7), night ratios: 6-7 to 1 (stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in) • Minimum 1 year of recent experience required • Every other weekend (EOW) requirement • Float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units • Block scheduling available but not guaranteed • 16 hours of orientation provided • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS • NY license required in hand to submit - no pending licenses accepted • Epic charting experience is a hard requirement • Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement required • Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Skills include peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions • Work with rapid response teams and code teams • Scrub color: any combination of navy and white • Blackout dates: May 8-10 (no RTO during this period) • RTO restrictions: maximum 1 week RTO per contract, cannot exceed 10 days • Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted • Pre-start modules required (billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized 19-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac care.
