Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/13/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted • Patient population includes adults to geriatrics • Patient ratio of 1:5-6 • BLS certification required • EPIC experience is a hard requirement - candidates without EPIC will be redirected • Must be comfortable with all potential Med Surg and Med Surg Telemetry diagnoses • Floating required to all MS and MS/Tele units within the hospital and possibly to sister campus (Piedmont Augusta Summerville) approximately 3 miles away • Navy blue scrubs required • Every other weekend schedule (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract) • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th) • No call requirements • Holiday work required based on assignment period: work 1 holiday if 1 falls during assignment, work both if 2 fall during assignment, work 2 of 3 if 3 fall during assignment • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day • Unit systems include Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR • 24 orientation hours (non-billable) • Full compliance required to start on time Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring 5 Med Surg/Med Surg Telemetry departments.
