Details Work in an acute care hospital setting on a 25-bed urology/nephrology medical surgical unit Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 Average daily census of 23 patients Every other weekend required Floating to other Med Surg units within scope may be required No on-call responsibilities Cerner EMR experience required Requirements Active IL RN license required or must be in application process Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience required BLS certification required Experience in MS/Tele, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response with rapid response teams required Strong skills in pre/post hemodialysis, renal failure management, and genitourinary/renal cases required IV therapy/phlebotomy skills including blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC management, and IV starts required Experience with heparin administration, and respiratory care including chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and portable oxygen Knowledge in wound care and use of wound vacs required Cerner charting system experience required Additional Information Charge nurse duties will be assigned as needed during the assignment Must adhere to isolation precautions and infection control best practices Will participate in management of patients with complex renal and genitourinary conditions Required to wear any solid color scrubs Parking permit is provided at no cost and will be organized during orientation This is a Magnet designated, Level I trauma facility First-time travelers with strong Med/Surg backgrounds are welcome to apply Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed American Traveler Job ID P-673485.
