Schedule 12-hour night shifts, or a rotating day/night schedule, with weekends as scheduled. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to provide compassionate care in an acute care setting. The unit consists of 30 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6/7, with the willingness to manage up to 1:7 patients comfortably. The Nurse will work alongside a Charge Nurse, and there are Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available to assist. The ideal candidate will have the ability to titrate heparin drips based on APTT results. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, and more. Monitor patient health and vitals, and respond to changes in status. Utilize Epic as the primary charting system. Participate in a rotating floating requirement as needed based on census, prioritizing external travelers to float. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS (AHA) certification required.
