Required Qualifications Active RN license in Ohio (compact license accepted only if valid in Ohio) Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience BLS certification (AHA) Experience with transplant and/or bariatric surgery patients preferred (transplant nurse or bariatric surgery nurse experience a plus) Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend/holiday Completion of required onboarding health screenings and background checks Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to pre-op and post-op solid organ transplant and bariatric surgery patients, as well as general med/surg patients Assess and monitor patient status, administer medications, and implement treatment plans Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, transplant coordinators, pharmacists, and case managers Accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records Perform charge nurse duties as needed (training and shadowing provided) Maintain patient and staff safety, and adapt to step-down unit responsibilities when required Preferred Skills & Certifications Prior transplant (solid organ) nursing experience or certification Bariatric surgery nursing experience Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Strong critical thinking, triage, and patient assessment skills What We Offer Competitive weekly pay for travel nurses Charge training and clinical support Opportunity to grow clinical experience in transplant and bariatric care Supportive team environment within a modern medical/surgical unit Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
