Details Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting, located in a newer facility Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases Patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights Telemetry experience preferred but not required Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Med/Surg and short stay experience required 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana; a positive result will result in immediate cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result Kerrville is located in Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio American Traveler Job ID P-686449.
