Details 20-bed Medical Surgical Unit (MSU) serving both adult/geriatric and pediatric patients 12-hour night shifts with flexibility required to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed Typical schedule alternates between 36-hour and 48-hour weeks, plus up to 1 on-call shift per week Staffing ratios: typically 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-COVID patients; typically 2:1 (max 3:1) for COVID patients Floating to other departments may be required based on qualifications, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties May be assigned to assist with Flu Immunization clinics as needed 13-week contract Requirements Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and PALS Minimum 3 years of med/surg experience required Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patient populations Additional Information Provides inpatient nursing care to adult/geriatric and pediatric med/surg patients New employee orientation is held on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline results in being moved to the next scheduled orientation date Attendance at staff meetings is expected Maximum of 2 shift call-offs permitted for the duration of the assignment American Traveler Job ID P-681809.
