A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • 36 guaranteed hours per week • Every other weekend required • Patient ratios: 1:4-5 during days, 1:4-6 during nights • Float within scope to med-surg unit as needed • 24 hours of orientation provided • 2 years of nursing experience required • EPIC charting system experience required • BLS certification required • Ortho or plastics post-surgical skills set required (either one acceptable) • Must be comfortable with total joint replacement patients • Experience with surgical drains required • Care for adult patients only • Average daily census of 14 patients • Work with short stay orthopedic, urology, and plastics surgery patients • Majority of orthopedic population consists of joint replacement surgery patients • Navy scrubs required (top, jacket, and bottom) • Free parking available in designated employee spaces with yellow painted lines • On-call responsibilities required • Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract • Two supervisory references within the last two years required at time of submittal Facility: This short-term acute care facility operates as a 68-bed hospital specializing in orthopedic, urology, and plastic surgery services.
