Details 7 East Medical Telemetry unit in a hospital setting with 60 beds Medical patient population, including patients with post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 Equipment used includes bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs Epic EMR Day shift, 0700–1930 Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating to a similar or lower acuity unit as needed 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state license that meets Missouri licensure eligibility requirements BLS certification from AHA required ACLS certification from AHA preferred Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Med/Surg experience required Valid U.S. Social Security Number required No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift, with significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs and pinch up to 15 lbs Additional Information Performs direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across all age groups Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids Flu vaccination is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted Black scrubs required Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced bill rate Local candidates are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at the facility; after which, they must either separate for a minimum of 1 year or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius RTO of up to 5 days is allowed but must be made up during the assignment; only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment will be accepted unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided American Traveler Job ID P-683980.
