Travel Medical-Surgical ICU Registered Nurse - $1,708 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR ICU/SICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM • 36 guaranteed hours per week • 13-week assignment length • Weekend rotation required • No call requirements • Must float to other units as required by facility floating policy • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification • Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted) • Minimum 2-3 years ICU experience required • MICU and MSICU background preferred • Experience with Meditech charting and order entry preferred • Strong critical thinking skills essential • Perform procedures including chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes • Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket • Must badge in and out for shifts and take full 30-minute lunch break • Clock in time: 6:38 AM/PM (after 6:45 AM/PM considered tardy) • Clean and healthy nail policy required • Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors • Body art should be covered whenever possible • Visible piercings other than ears prohibited Facility: This healthcare facility has been providing high-quality care to patients for more than 50 years and was the first hospital established in the internationally acclaimed South Texas Medical Center in 1963.
