Details Medical ICU unit within an acute care hospital setting 32-bed Medical ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 to 3:1 Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12s Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Float requirements include stepdown and med/surg units EMR: Epic 13-week contract Requirements Active AR or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS CCRN preferred Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) experience required Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted No gaps in employment of 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information All nurses providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency exam (passing grade: 90%) before assuming medication administration responsibilities; the exam may be retaken once Scrub color: black; open-toe shoes are not permitted Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a mandatory separation or transfer is required Unit culture is described as fast-paced, seeking upbeat and driven nurses American Traveler Job ID P-681369.
