Details 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) at a Level III Trauma Center within a 400 bed community hospital Adult patient population including diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours/day RN-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU; ratio increases to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Med/Surg units Night shift: 19:00–07:30 (no shift rotation required for nights) Every other weekend (EOW) requirement Floating to Medical/Surgical units required 36 hours per week 13-week contract EMR: Epic Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted BLS and ACLS certifications required — AHA only; Red Cross and other providers are not accepted at this location Minimum 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU setting Telemetry strip reading competency required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted Two professional references required for consideration Free on-site parking available Time tracking via UKG/Kronos Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration American Traveler Job ID P-681862.
