Details Hospital Med/Surg unit with remote telemetry monitoring Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including diabetes, post-op, wound vac management, and bariatrics 33-bed unit with an average daily census of 28 Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 Epic EMR (required); Pyxis and SBAR also used Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00) Every other weekend required Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required Epic EMR proficiency required Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted Navy blue scrubs required RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12) Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full calendar year before returning as a traveler No schedule change requests, alternate shifts, or special scheduling accommodations are permitted — the posted shift is firm Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit American Traveler Job ID P-686311.
