Details 24-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds in an acute care hospital setting Heavy telemetry focus with an emphasis on neuro and cardiac cases Adult patient population — travelers are not assigned pediatric patients Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights (acuity-based) 12-hour night shifts Float requirement to all Med/Surg units and ICU (for MS overflow patients) EMR: Allscripts Sunrise Level III trauma facility Support staff includes telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs Hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available in-house 24/7 No IV team on unit Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS PALS preferred Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required Strong neuro and cardiac nursing skills required Allscripts Sunrise EMR experience preferred Additional Information Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care Scrubs required in any color except all black; scrubs are not provided by the facility 13-week assignment with a 3-shift cancellation allowance American Traveler Job ID P-685788.
