A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM • Every other weekend coverage required • Patient ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8 • 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel experience required • Must live more than 75 miles from facility • Float to other units as needed • Epic charting system experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • Any nursing uniform color scrubs acceptable • 25-bed unit with daily census of 20 patients • 12 hours of orientation provided • Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total) • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain • Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV management, blood product administration, central line care, respiratory support equipment, and isolation precautions • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology • NY nursing license required in hand to submit Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed medical surgical telemetry unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients.
