Travel RN Job Details Location: Titusville, Florida (Space Coast) — Zip: 32796 Assignment Type: Travel, On-site (Travel Nursing Job) Start Date: April 21, 2026 End Date: July 21, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00) Hours per Week: 36 Unit: Mixed Med/Surg Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Telemetry nurse expectations) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Required within scope and competency Orientation: Mandatory 5 shifts (36–40 hours first week) Charting / EHR: Meditech experience preferred (Meditech EHR) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1280–$1350 (competitive travel nursing pay) Travel RN Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in an acute care setting (Med/Surg Tele RN or PCU experience) Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license in hand by start date Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (or willing to obtain prior to start) Demonstrated experience with 1:6 patient ratios and high-acuity caseloads Telemetry skills: continuous cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition & management, experience with cardiac drips (no titration) Clinical experience with CVA/stroke care, chest tube management, wound/drain care, and total joint replacement post-op care Participation on Rapid Response Team and Code Team required Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility (no local travelers) Available for mandatory clinical orientation week COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Key Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care as a Travel RN to adult and geriatric patients in a mixed Med/Surg Telemetry and PCU environment Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry, identify dysrhythmias, and escalate care per facility protocol Administer medications and therapies including cardiac drips (no titration), blood products, and heparin protocols Deliver post-operative care for surgical and total joint replacement patients, including wound and drain management Actively participate in Rapid Response and Code Team events as a telemetry nurse Perform central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and IV starts Support respiratory therapies such as BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and supplemental oxygen; assist with non-invasive airway management Float to other units within competency and facility guidelines as needed Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech or the facility's EHR Why Titusville and Florida Travel Nursing?
