Details Position is in an acute care MedSurg/Telemetry float pool setting Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts Every other weekend required and first to float as needed Role includes a blend of charge nurse, clinical mentor, and manager responsibilities Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Requirements Active, unencumbered CA RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted) Minimum of 3 years RN experience Recent charge RN experience in last assignment required Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS (AHA or APEX) Two professional references: one supervisor within last 12 months, one peer or supervisor within last 3 years Copy of driver’s license required for consideration Must not have been directly employed by a facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year Additional Information Responsibilities include rounding on patients, addressing service or safety issues, and serving as a resource for clinical and interpersonal concerns May take charge nurse assignments as needed based on census and staffing Comprehensive orientation provided: one week classroom followed by two weeks unit-based training Must pass competency testing as part of onboarding process Scrub or dress code per hospital policy Not open to first-time travelers American Traveler Job ID P-669490.
