Job Details Location: Lander, Wyoming (82520) – travel nursing job in Wyoming Assignment Type: Travel Unit: Med/Surg (Medical-Surgical Nursing) Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: June 21, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00) – night shift travel RN Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,910 - $2,010 per week Job Requirements / Qualifications Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state (compact) RN license Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting (medical-surgical nursing) Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) Ability to care for pediatric and adolescent patients as needed Willingness to float between Lander and Riverton campuses based on facility needs Strong communication, clinical assessment, IV therapy, and critical thinking skills Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate documentation preferred Responsibilities – Clinical and Patient Care Provide direct, individualized nursing care to a diverse patient population, including pre- and post-surgical patients and general medical-surgical cases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans Administer prescribed medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and manage medication safety Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, postoperative care, and discharge instructions Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays, and record vital signs accurately Initiate corrective action for adverse patient symptoms and respond to life-saving situations as needed Perform nursing procedures including dressing changes, catheter insertion, IV starts, and assist physicians during exams and treatments Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and safe transitions of care Document all care information accurately and in a timely manner in the medical record Perform other related duties as assigned to support high-quality patient care Join a dedicated healthcare team in a stunning Wyoming setting and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
