Job Details Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Location: Kirksville, MO 63501 — travel nursing job in northeast Missouri Contract Length: 13 weeks (10/20/2025 – 01/19/2026) Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM); weekends required Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 – $2010 Unit: Adult Med/Surg (21 beds) Patient Ratios: 1:5–7 (varies by acuity) EMR: MedHost Scrub Color: Any dark solid color Auto-offer: No interview required Job Requirements / Qualifications Active RN license (state requirements apply) — acceptable for travel nursing assignments Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (adult medical/surgical hospital setting) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Ability to float occasionally to assist in critical care with low-acuity patients Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills — experience with admissions, discharges, and patient throughput a plus Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients as a bedside Med/Surg RN Perform focused assessments, monitor patient status, and respond to clinical changes on night shift Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and coordinate diagnostic testing Document care accurately and timely in MedHost EMR Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans Support night operations including admissions, discharges, and improving patient flow Float as needed to assist with low-acuity patients in critical care areas Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning Why Kirksville and this Travel Nursing Job?
