A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Acute Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM • Every other weekend requirement • Holiday coverage as needed • Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts • 44-bed unit with 40 staff members • Minimum 2 years experience in specialty required • Must live within 75-mile radius from hospital based on driver's license address • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (both must be AHA certified) • Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs • Work with MEDITECH electronic medical records system (experience preferred but not required) • Telemetry monitoring available but monitored on different unit • Float to all acute care units and cardiology for medical patients, or emergency department for acute care patient holds • Work with certified nursing assistants at ratios of 1:8, generally 1:10 • General orientation of 1 week including EMR training • Floor-specific orientation of 2 days • 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center providing acute care services to the surrounding community.
