Details Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM 13-week contract Requirements Active TX RN license or compact RN license with TX privilege required Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery or a perinatal setting Current BLS certification required (AHA only) Current ACLS certification required (AHA only) Current NRP certification required Current fetal monitoring certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate US Social Security Number required for consideration Additional Information Provides routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with onboarding validated through organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency assessments Experience in a perinatal RN residency or recent perinatal practice is preferred American Traveler Job ID P-683974.
