Job Details Job Title: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Travel Nurse Location: North Chesterfield, Virginia (zip 23235) – Richmond metro area; Richmond nursing jobs, Virginia nursing jobs Unit: Maternal Infant Unit, 24 beds (LDRP) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract Start Date: February 2, 2026 End Date: May 4, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days (07:00-19:00) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1770 (competitive travel nurse pay) Weekend/On Call: Every third weekend, 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent labor & delivery nursing experience (L&D RN, maternity nurse) Active RN license in Virginia (VA) or compact state license BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification Experience in high-volume LDRP or high-acuity labor & delivery settings preferred Comfortable with EMR systems (Meditech, CPN) and GE fetal monitor use Responsibilities Provide expert labor and delivery care for mothers, including continuous maternal-fetal monitoring and clinical support throughout labor Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum and intrapartum care Deliver newborn care, neonatal stabilization, and postpartum support, ensuring safety and comfort for mothers and infants Perform fetal monitoring (AWHONN standards) and accurate EMR documentation using Meditech/CPN Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including OB providers, nursery nurses, OB techs, and nurse educators Provide postpartum education, breastfeeding support, and infant security protocol compliance Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and maternal-newborn best practices Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and make a difference in the lives of families with this rewarding Labor & Delivery RN travel job in North Chesterfield, Virginia.
