Details Labor & Delivery unit (Women's Services) within a main hospital building Unit includes 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED Patient ratio of 1:2 Dedicated CRNA and midwife in-house 24/7; OBGYN on call Unit secretary and scrub tech support available on unit Documentation systems: CPN and Meditech Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 13-week contract 4 weekend shifts required per month Floating may be required to mother/baby or outside the department for task assignments Requirements Active TN or Compact RN license required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card required), and Fetal Monitoring (intermediate or advanced AWHONN, or NCCEFM) All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible Additional Information Procedures performed on unit include: OR circulating, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, postpartum hemorrhage management (JADA system), and nitrous oxide administration Experience with Spinning Babies and STABLE is considered a plus The unit operates a laborist team model with 24/7 midwife and dedicated CRNA coverage An on-site 8-bed Level 2 NICU with NNP coverage 24/7 is available, with NNP attending all high-risk deliveries Couplet care is practiced in the postpartum unit, with donor milk available to support breastfeeding The unit has been recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction (2021) and serves as a TIPQC Pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth Required scrub color: hot pink top with black or hot pink bottoms American Traveler Job ID P-684766.
