Details Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting in Key West, FL Patient care spans antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 13-week contract Floating to other units required based on facility needs Requirements Active FL RN license or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP PALS required; may be obtained within 30 days of start if not currently held AWHONN certification preferred; can be completed onsite Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments required Experience in L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby required Must have at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start Valid driver's license required for consideration US Social Security Number required Additional Information Provides nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical leadership, and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education AHCA background check required for FL placement Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration First-time travelers are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID P-684686.
