Job Details Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Salem, Massachusetts) Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Assignment Unit: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Care (OB nurse / L&D nurse) Start Date: April 19, 2026 End Date: July 18, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks (travel assignment) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130-$2250 per week Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day, evening, night rotation required; one night of call and every other weekend) Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR (Epic) Job Requirements Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care (maternal-child health) Current Massachusetts RN license (active and in good standing) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification — current within 2 years ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and OR circulating for C-sections Ability to rotate between day, evening, and night shifts as required Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns across a 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit (includes L&D rooms, postpartum rooms, OR, recovery, and antepartum) Assess and monitor patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period using best practices and EFM Circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections and assist with perioperative maternal care Administer and titrate medications (including magnesium sulfate and epidurals) and monitor maternal/newborn responses Perform newborn assessments and support breastfeeding, newborn care education, and parent teaching Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, pediatric/neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Participate in rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and weekend schedules as required by the travel assignment If you are a dedicated Labor & Delivery RN or OB nurse seeking a rewarding travel nursing job in a welcoming New England community, apply now.
