Details Interventional Radiology unit in a large acute care hospital (838 staffed beds) that is a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm 1:1 patient staffing ratio Specialized procedures include angiogram, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 0730–1600 On-call rotation every 5th weekend Floating may be required to the CAMC General Lab CDL Charting is done in Cerner Parking is complimentary for travelers Requirements Active WV or compact RN license required; candidates with a pending license may be considered but the license must be active prior to starting the assignment Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Prior Interventional Radiology experience is required Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility; those residing 75–99 miles away may be submitted for facility approval Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); a documented medical allergy on record from an allergist or physician is the only accepted exemption Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have Interventional Radiology experience Orientation occurs every other Thursday, beginning with 2 days in a classroom setting followed by unit-based orientation Former permanent employees of CAMC are not eligible to return as a traveler until 2 years after their last day of permanent employment Blocked/pre-requested schedules cannot be accommodated; any requested time off must be included at the time of profile submission COVID vaccine is not required Scrub color for RNs is royal blue or white American Traveler Job ID P-685840.
