A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - IMC Job Details: • Work in Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IICU) caring for adult patients • Patient ratio of 1:3 throughout all shifts • Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period • Minimum 2 years RN experience and at least 1 completed travel assignment required • Previous IICU/ICU experience with acuity of at least 1:3 required • First-time travelers accepted with 3 years critical care experience • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Must have active South Carolina or multistate license • 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required • Care for trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients requiring monitoring every 1-2 hours • Handle direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams • Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management • Experience with ventilator care and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips required • Work with special equipment including Hercules patient repositioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps • Required to float to other units or campuses as needed based on qualifications • Complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of contract signing • Orientation occurs every Monday • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Facility: This regional community teaching medical center is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, the only one of its kind in the Midlands region.
