Job Details Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel ICU RN Location: Quincy, IL 62301 — Quincy nursing jobs | Illinois nursing jobs Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – 2nd Floor (MICU, some SICU) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm start) — ICU night shift Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) Dress Code: Black scrubs Charting System: Allscripts Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,250–$2,370/week Qualifications and Job Requirements Active RN license (compact or Illinois license may be required) — critical care nurse credential At least 1 year of recent ICU experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center (300 bed hospital preferred) Experience with CRRT (Prismaflex) highly preferred — critical care skills Experience pulling sheaths preferred Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS PALS certification preferred Ability to titrate drips and interpret telemetry strips — telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring skills Comfortable working with a variety of ICU equipment and procedures (ventilator support, arterial lines, central lines) Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU (MICU/SICU) Manage complex critical care cases including trauma, neuro, cardiac, and post-surgical patients Perform and assist with bedside procedures such as tracheostomies, chest tube management, bronchoscopies, and arterial line insertion Monitor and titrate critical drips including vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, and sedatives Collaborate closely with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team Interpret telemetry strips and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition Float as needed to PCU/CVICU (primarily as help-all) Participate in holiday and weekend rotations with core staff This ICU RN role is ideal for a skilled critical care nurse or travel nurse seeking robust clinical experience and a supportive team environment.
