A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with 2:1 patient ratios on days, nights, and weekends • Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) • Float as needed per census - maintain 2 patients if pulled to another ICU, 3 patients if pulled to telemetry • 24 hours of orientation provided • Strong neuro experience required - must be noted in work history • Previous travel experience required • 2 years of recent ICU experience required • Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS • EPIC charting system experience required • Must be located more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler • Kentucky nursing license in hand or compact license required at submission • Care for adult patients with neurological conditions including strokes, craniotomies, seizures, and post-cardiac arrest • Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, IV drips, and dysrhythmias • Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management required • Work with specialized equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, and ventilators • Complete non-billable modules during orientation and annually Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 19-bed neurological intensive care unit providing specialized care for patients with acute and complex neurological conditions.
