Job Details Location: Show Low, AZ 85901 — Show Low, Arizona (White Mountains area) Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Critical Care Nurse / Travel RN Setting: Acute Care – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel RN assignment) Shift: 12-hour nights (18:00–06:30) Hours per Week: 36 hours (guaranteed) Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Start Date: ASAP Orientation: Every Monday Travel Position: Yes — travel nurse / travel RN opportunity Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent ICU or critical care nursing experience Active RN license (Arizona RN license or Compact Nurse Licensure preferred) ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required Proven experience with ventilator management and common ICU equipment Comfortable managing continuous drips, arterial lines (a-lines), and post-procedure care Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED) or Medical-Surgical (MS) units if experienced Strong documentation skills; experience with Allscripts charting is a plus Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered critical care for conditions including pneumonia, ARDS, DKA, sepsis, STEMIs, post-cath patients, and other acute diagnoses Manage common ICU drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Levophed (Norepinephrine), Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Vecuronium, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, Heparin, and others Provide ventilator care and monitoring (typically managing 1–2 ventilated patients) Follow hypothermia protocols, manage arterial lines, and support post-surgical and post-intervention patients Collaborate closely with Respiratory Therapists, Patient Care Technicians, Health Unit Secretaries, Nurse Managers, and the multidisciplinary ICU team Participate in modified self-scheduling and block scheduling based on unit preference Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Allscripts electronic health record Join our healthcare team in Show Low, Arizona — an excellent opportunity for ICU RNs, critical care nurses, and travel nurses seeking rewarding ICU RN jobs in AZ.
