A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 2:1 patient ratio in 12-bed Critical Care Unit • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week scheduling block • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract • EPIC charting system experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS • Preferred certifications: NIHSS, CCRN • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred • 24 hours of orientation provided • Floating within skillset required • Care for medical and surgical patients including respiratory failures, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, DKA, vascular and general surgery patients, chest pain, encephalopathies, drug overdoses, renal failure, and sepsis • Manage ventilator patients, arterial lines, multiple drips, and pressure support • Assist physicians with bedside procedures • Required clinical skills include IV therapy, arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, respiratory support, BiPAP & CPAP management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and cardiac/vasoactive drip titration • Serve adult and geriatric patient populations • First-time travelers accepted Facility: This acute care medical center is part of a comprehensive health system serving a broad region across multiple states.
