Job Details Location: San Antonio, TX (Stone Oak area) — San Antonio nursing jobs / Texas ICU RN opportunity Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460-$1540 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: February 25, 2026 End Date: May 27, 2026 Setting: 14-bed ICU within a modern hospital (critical care, medical-surgical support available) Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel/Contract — Travel Nurse / Clinical support role Job Requirements Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted) — must meet state licensing for Texas nursing jobs Minimum 2 years of recent ICU / critical care RN experience Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association) NIH Stroke Scale certification required Experience administering and titrating vasopressors and critical care medications Ability to float to other units (Med/Surg, step-down) as needed Strong attendance record and reliability Meditech documentation experience preferred (electronic health record experience a plus) Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients as an ICU Registered Nurse in a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio Administer and titrate vasopressors, vasoactive drips, and other critical care medications with appropriate monitoring Perform continuous patient assessment, monitor hemodynamics, and document patient status using Meditech (preferred) or other EHRs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary critical care team including physicians, PCAs, respiratory therapists, and unit coordinators Float to other units (such as Med/Surg) when needed to support patient care and staffing Adhere to hospital policies and unit standards, including dress code (navy scrubs), attendance, and floating guidelines Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives for ICU and critical care services If you are a dedicated ICU RN / Critical Care RN seeking a rewarding travel nurse assignment in a thriving and welcoming community, apply now to join this outstanding team in San Antonio.
