A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ICU Float Pool Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) • Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule • Must float within Zone 1 covering a 60-mile radius around Colorado Springs, CO • Float between multiple facilities: Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More • May be asked to float to other acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele • Patient ratios: 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3; 1:1 for high acuity patients • Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin • Expected to read and interpret own telemetry strips • Responsible for troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs • 1-2 days orientation with preceptor • Must have 2 years of ICU experience; first-time travelers need 3 years ICU experience and Epic experience • Travel experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS • Any color scrubs permitted • Epic charting system • May be placed in holiday rotation • Rare call/standby for low census • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare system operates multiple acute care facilities throughout the Colorado Springs region, providing comprehensive critical care services across a 60-mile zone.
