Details Float pool position covering Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics units 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) Weekend, holiday, and call coverage required Uses MEDITECH for charting Requirements Active NY RN license currently in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS At least one successfully completed travel nursing assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Experience floating across Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric settings Coronary care experience required Ability to safely assess and implement patient lifts and movement Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager from within the past year and within the specialty Additional Information Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted May be required to assume charge nurse duties Must be able to function effectively in high-stress situations and apply creative problem-solving skills Thorough knowledge of nursing principles required, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual patient care needs American Traveler Job ID P-678507.
