Details Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital Emergency Department (ER) unit Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00 Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within scope to similar units or a sister campus may be required based on facility needs Charting system: Epic (experience required) 13-week contract Requirements Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending license not accepted) Current BLS certification required Minimum 3 years of ER experience required Epic EMR experience required SSN and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours) Only 1 holiday approval can be accommodated per contract RTO is subject to manager's discretion Royal blue and white scrubs required American Traveler Job ID P-686961.
