Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/31/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Mar 31, 2026 Length: 12 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care ER experience and a full certification package including NIHSS and ESI. Details Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts) High-acuity Emergency Department seeing approximately 175–200 patients per day Department supports a transplant center, burn center, LVAD, total heart, PICU, NICU, L&D, comprehensive stroke center, chest pain center, and ECMO cannulation in the ED Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to other facilities within a 75-mile radius Block scheduling requests are not accommodated Requirements Active OK RN license or compact RN license — no pending licenses accepted Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting Candidates with less extensive experience must have prior experience in a 30-bed or larger ER Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required Utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address dated within the last 3 months of the projected start date 2 supervisory references required for consideration Copies of all certifications required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year to be eligible RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout date RTO requests will be accepted Candidates with NIHSS or ESI not yet in hand may note willingness to obtain prior to start American Traveler Job ID P-680446.
