Job Details Location: Salem, MA 01970 (North Shore, Massachusetts) Assignment Type: Travel — Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job Unit: Surgical Services – Endoscopy (GI / ENDO) Start Date: April 19, 2026 End Date: July 18, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370–$2,500/week Shift: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM (with one rotating day 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Shift Duration: 8-hour days Facility Highlights: 7 procedure rooms, 18 PACU bays, high-volume GI/endoscopy services Perks: Free on-site parking Job Requirements (Qualifications) Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license Current AHA ACLS certification SGNA or CBSPD certification strongly preferred Minimum 2–3 years recent Endoscopy RN or GI RN experience (travel nursing experience a plus) Experience with GI technician endoscopy workflow, Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing (endoscope reprocessing) Familiarity with EPIC EMR system Strong skills in sedation monitoring, MAC and conscious sedation cases, and perioperative nursing principles Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a busy Endoscopy unit performing GI procedures and scope-based diagnostics Assist with 60–70 procedures daily, including MAC and conscious sedation cases Set up, handle, and reprocess Olympus scopes and related endoscopy equipment following infection control standards Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure in holding and recovery (PACU) areas Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2–3 in PACU Document patient care and procedure details accurately in EPIC EMR Participate in rotating shifts as needed (department open 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM) Be available for on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required Keywords: Endoscopy RN, GI Nurse, Travel RN, travel nursing, endoscopy nurse jobs in Massachusetts, GI RN, Olympus scope, endoscope reprocessing, EPIC EMR, perioperative nursing.
